The War on Art Is Art mural was created after an incident at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, during which protesters poured red paint on a wall on which Jacek Markiewiczโs Adoration of the Christ (1993) video was being projected. Markiewicz's master's project was part of the British British Polish Polish: Art From Europe's Edges In The Long 90s And Today exhibition.
