Music video by Julia Krasicka-Mazur for an experimental electronic music piece by Maciej Ratajski

The official music video by Julia Krasicka-Mazur, edited by Krasicka-Mazur and Ratajski, accompanies Ratajski's experimental music piece, The Expanse. The video is based on Krasicka-Mazur's BA Thesis at The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 2023, entitled Rendering That Takes 30 Milion Years.

The track is part of the album THIS IS ALL WRONG by 111R. The album is a story of an inevitable catastrophe, the end of the human world and its possible aftermath, as told by machines from the future.

The 3D animation presents a surreal post-apocalyptic future, where peculiar hybrids of thinking machines and living organisms emerge after an environmental disaster. The video adopts a post-humanist perspective on the climate apocalypse, framing it as a narrative of new beginnings.

In the music by 111R, the soundscape of separating the waters below from the waters above (i.e., oceans and skies separated by the expanse [Genesis 1:6]) blends synthetic sounds evocative of birds of paradise with actual whale song recordings that echo electronic noise.
